Welcome to Year 1!

The teacher in Year 1 is Miss Poole and she is supported in class by our Teaching Assistants, Miss Cooke, Miss Jenkins, Mrs Osborne and Miss Bracken.

 

 

    

 

PE Days

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. PE kits will be kept in school and will be sent home for washing half termly. 

Reading Books

Please make sure that reading records and reading books are in school everyday. Reading books will be changed when we feel the children are confident reading the book that they have. Reading books link closely to the learning we do in phonics. Please make sure that children are reading at least 4 times a week at home. Housepoints will be awarded for each day they read at home. 

Homework

Homework will be set on a Thursday and will be due in on the following Tuesday. We will begin using the homework books once we are settled and ready.
