To kick-start December, we held our very first ‘Breakfast with Father Christmas’ where children were able to meet Father Christmas while enjoying breakfast with their family and some festive activities. It was a busy morning and we hope that everyone who came had a great time.
On the evening of Thursday 28th November some of our schools Signing Choir attended an event to support WheelPower's Christmas shopping fayre.
We are now only 5 days away from our Winter Shopping Evening and we are really excited!
On Friday 8th November we will be bringing you the 'Longest Sweet Mufti Day'. Children will be invited to come into school in full mufti on Friday 8th November.
In the Autumn Term 2024, Stoke Mandeville Combined School will be holding a series of Open Events for parents of children due to start Reception in September 2025.
We are so grateful to a group of volunteers from Buckinghamshire Council who spent a day on our allotment on Thursday 13th June clearing the site and turning it into a much more manageable plot where seeds can be planted and special educational areas can be created for the children.
On Thursday 6th June, members of our Signing Choir from the ARP, Year 5 and 6 were invited to perform outside The Bull as part of the Parish Council’s D-Day Celebrations. The children performed fantastically and were each awarded with a very special commemorative coin celebrating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
On Friday 5th April a small group of girls participated in the Honeycomb Dance Festival at Waterside Theatre. Some of the girls overcame their fears to give a brilliant performance in front of a very large audience.
On Wednesday a group of children from Year 5 and 6 went to Stoke Mandeville Stadium and represented the school in an Inter-School Swimming Festival.
Today we were joined by Pete Thompson – a Guinness world record holder in speed skipping!
